Advice on Tenancy Matters

With over 30 years’ experience in all forms of tenancy matters, we are ideally placed to assist either Landlords or Tenants with contentious matters, hopefully before they become disputes.

Commercial Tenancies

Having managed retail, commercial and industrial premises of all sizes and types, it is likely that we may already have dealt with a matter similar to the one that is causing you concern. Landlords may be looking at a tenant’s activity or request from a totally different perspective from the tenant – neither realising the others viewpoint. As expert Property Managers, we can view the issue with an objective but knowledgeable prospective, guiding the two parties to an amicable solution. Our aim is always to find a consensus, to achieve a solution which is acceptable to both parties.

It is our believe that it is always preferable to find a negotiated solution rather than enter into an adversary situation. We firmly believe that a solution to a problem that is achieved in an amicable manner almost always cheaper and benefits the relationship between the parties in the future. At Montana Management, we are here to achieve such a solution, for both landlords and Tenants.

Residential Tenancies

In our experience, residential tenancies can often become emotive, perhaps even unduly emotional – as the subject matter is home to a tenant, and often is the sole, or at least a large part of a Landlord’s investment assets. Often a Landlord may have lived in the property themselves and have a fond attachment to it. They may be familiar with little idiosyncrasies in the property, which they may have accepted but that a new tenant may not find acceptable. Similarly, as lifestyles vary – a tenant’s chosen habit may not be familiar to a landlord and may not initially be acceptable to them.

With a wide experience in managing all types of residential property – tenement flats to urban mansions; rural cottages to country houses – we will have the knowledge to address the concern, to asses the problem from both Landlord’s and tenant’s prospective and to advise on a fair and equitable way forward

We firmly believe that neither a tenant nor a landlord benefits if the relationship breaks down. Our aim to cement that relationship for the benefit of both parties.
